Baby skin

For these reasons, midwives especially recommend very natural nursing care for newborns:

  • For daily washing of the face, genital area, armpits and skin folds, a soft cloth and lukewarm water are sufficient. NO soaps or cleansing gels needed!

  • The great little treasure can be washed 1 to 7 times a week for 5 to 10 minutes at a water temperature of around 37 to 38 degrees Celsius, depending on whether the child also likes to have fun in the water. For reasons of hygiene, however, once a week is sufficient. Bath additives aren't necessary, but if you wish, they should contain no preservatives or fragrances, parabens or silicones, and of course they should be extra gentle and designed for babies!
  • Important: after washing or bathing, the terrestrial baby should be dried well and immediately kept warm, as babies lose body temperature very quickly. The base of the navel, underarms, genital area and skin folds should be patted dry
  • If the diaper area is sore, it can be supplied with an ointment, which should also contain zinc, or with baby powder.

Ideal for baby's skin: care with argan oil

Pure oils of at least food quality are the most natural care for babies and therefore always an advice from midwives. Rightly so, because oils, such as our organically grown and cold-pressed argan oil , contain few allergens, are gentle on the skin, keep the skin elastic, cover the skin like a protective film, moisturize it and do not dry it out. The skin of babies and children absolutely needs support in the form of moisturizing care to store moisture and fat in the quantities it needs. It is best to use argan oil immediately after washing or bathing. It is ideal for the whole body of the baby, but especially for areas such as the delicate nappy area or the scalp, which can initially be very flaky - this scab can simply and gently be dabbed with argan oil and then removed with a soft cloth or a soft brush will do.

In the first 14 days after birth or in winter with dry, warm air, many babies tend to have dry, scaly skin, especially around the torso area. Here our Argangolden argan oil can gently help with the healing and regeneration of the skin, because it soothes, protects, relieves itching and nourishes at the same time. That is why argan oil is also ideal for the treatment of neurodermatitis in babies and children. If necessary, our argan oil can also be used several times a day for baby care. However, you should start with a small dose of argan oil. Only when the oil shows the desired effect can the dose be maintained or increased.

Argan oil has other benefits when it comes to baby care:

  • It doesn't have a strong smell per se
  • It is so natural and of high quality that it could even be "eaten". It can also be used to care for baby's hands and fingers, because your darling can then put his little fingers in his mouth without hesitation.

Babies love you - massage!

What's more beautiful than direct physical contact between parents and child?! So it's no wonder that the delicate creatures love to be looked after and, above all, massaged. An ideal daily massage companion? Our argan oil Argan golden ! It is well absorbed, non-greasy and gently and naturally stimulates the baby's delicate skin. This daily massage ritual is not a highlight for the little ones - even the little ones appreciate the care, because it helps build and protect the skin barrier and the massage also supports the bond between the offspring and their parents. In addition, the care and massage help develop the baby / child's body awareness.

Good to know: Conventional creams often contain a mix of very many ingredients that can be irritating in combination - the fewer ingredients, the better - this also applies to the care of sensitive skin in adults.

Important:

For baby skin should start with a small dose. If the oil shows the desired effect, the dose can be maintained or increased.
